How it began
It came from many minds
Mind Mingle started with a simple question.
As we explored the name for our new venture, we asked customers, associates, colleagues, coaches, family and friends to share their first impressions of five possibilities.
We thought we were asking people to help us choose a name.
We soon realised we were asking them to help us discover what Mind Mingle could become.
People didn't simply choose their favourite name. They shared stories, ideas and impressions about the brands, the founders and the kind of experience they imagined we could create.
And then something unexpected happened.
The conversation started to grow.
Friends shared the question with other people. One friend involved her son, who then shared it with his fiancee. Another friend involved her daughter and son-in-law, someone who would normally not participate in this kind of exercise. He was challenged to give his perspective, and he joined the conversation too.
Different generations. Different experiences. Different ways of thinking.
Exactly what Mind Mingle is about.
People began describing what they saw in us: curiosity, collaboration, passion, warmth, energy and a genuine desire to contribute.
They told us that some of the other names felt too ordinary, too narrow or too generic. They didn't capture the feeling they associated with us.
But Mind Mingle did.
They saw the possibility of minds meeting. Ideas being exchanged. Perspectives being challenged. People learning from one another. Conversations opening doors to new possibilities.
And somewhere along the way, we realised that Mind Mingle wasn't simply the name we were looking for. It was a description of how we naturally work.
We believe the best thinking doesn't always happen alone.
It happens when different minds meet.
When someone asks a question you hadn't considered.
When a unique perspective makes you look at something differently.
When a conversation sparks an idea.
When learning becomes something you experience with others rather than simply something delivered to them.
What makes Mind Mingle the company it is?
A business for learning, coaching, mentoring, facilitation, connection and ideas, but above all, a space where people can think, create and see results.
Because when minds mingle, something happens.
And perhaps the most fitting part of our story is that Mind Mingle itself was created through exactly that process.
It didn't come from one mind.
It came from many.
